5th Annual Coastal Plein Air Art Event 2026

This is the registration for the 5th Coastal Plein Air Art and Wine Festival.

All pieces must begin as blank (pre-toned okay) canvases, painted within the destination of their choosing within the coastal boundaries of Lincoln City, OR at the North and Bandon, OR at the South and then East to the Coastal Range.  They must be painted between September 2 and 17, 2025 and started and completed in one day.  Minor adjustments only are acceptable to be done at home.

The cost to register is $55, which includes entry of 3 pieces into the juried Art & Wine Festival.  Up to 2 additional pieces may be submitted on September 18th at Drop-Off at a cost of $10 each.

No refunds will be offered.

Registered artists will have access to a private Facebook page where the participants can converse, exchange photos of their work and share locations they have discovered.

Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) is very excited to invite artists to participate in our 5th Annual Coastal Plein Air Art & Wine Festival to be held at the Florence Events Center. This event will begin with the artists painting scenes along our beautiful coast from the West between Lincoln City, OR at the North and Bandon, OR at the South and then East to the Coastal Range.  The artists can paint between September 2nd and September 17th at which point they can contribute up to 5 paintings to the Art & Wine Festival to be held at the Florence Events Center on September 19th and 20th where their paintings will be judged for awards as well as on sale to the public which are invited to attend the Art & Wine Festival.

Our Judge - Scott Gellatly
Scott Gellatly is a Portland-based artist and instructor whose work straddles the line between representation and abstraction. His work has been exhibited nationally and was featured in the February/March 2023 issue of Plein Air Magazine. Scott is represented by LAURA VINCENT DESIGN & GALLERY in Portland, OR and Alki Arts in Seattle, WA. www.scottgellatly.com
