DESCRIPTION:The Big Wave Spoken Word team is dedicated to promoting and celebrating Poetry and Spoken Word through monthly events and annual contests\, providing poets and writers with an opportunity to share their work with the community. We invite you to join us for First Tuesday Open Mic at FRAA or on Zoom.  Visit Big Wave Spoken Word on Facebook for Zoom link.  We host this event each month\, so check our website or Facebook for updated information. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome ride the words of your favorite poems\, stories and prose!\n\n\n\nEveryone can participate (but isn’t mandatory). You can read from your own work\, from the work of those you admire\, or sing a song.\n\n\n\nAdmission is free. DESCRIPTION:FRAA is hosting an Over Abundance Art Fair on Sunday October 19\, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.at Florence Events Center at 715 Quince Street in Florence. \n\n\n\nIt’s that time of year again to clean out your studio of unwanted/unused or unfinished art and art supplies! The Overabundance Art Sale at the Florence Event Center\, hosted by the Florence Regional Arts Alliance\, is Sunday October 19th. \n\n\n\nSubmit your registration form and $30/per table payment to secure your place. Payment by cash or credit card must be made in person at FRAA\, 120 Maple St.\, 11:00 am-5:00pm Wed – Sun. Or mail checks to FRAA\, PO Box 305\, Florence\, OR 97439. \n\n\n\nThe deadline is October 1st; you’ll receive confirmation on October 3rd or sooner if we sell out of tables. \n\n\n\n\nOver Abundance Application\n\n\n\n\nSet-up starts at 8 am; public hours are 10 am–3 pm\, with takedown beginning no sooner than 3:00 pm\, unless you sell out. \n\n\n\n\nNo food will be available at the venue\, so please bring your food and beverages for the day.No change is available at the FEC so please bring your own.\n\n\n\nTablecloths are not required but you may bring your own or rent one from FRAA for $5.00 each. (They do not have to reach the floor).\n\n\n\nIf you can’t attend feel free to pass along the registration form to others to sell or donate unwanted art items to FRAA!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFRAA is also accepting donations of your gently used arts and crafts supplies. The money raised will help us fulfill our mission to support all the arts in the Florence community. We bring art to the elderly and youth\, provide scholarships\, teach classes and host events\, and give back to the community in many ways. \n\n\n\nTo arrange a time to drop off items please call FRAA at 541-997-4435 and leave a message for Christine Santiago or Kris DeNoyer or stop by our gallery at 120 Maple Street.
